NTCG District Children's Convention

Join the Nottingham District Youth Department at our District Children’s Convention.

Our theme is: “Young, Fun and Free,” and we’ll be looking at the life of David to explore this theme.

Join us for workshops in Dance, Choir, Drama and Arts and Crafts, games and we’ll conclude our day with a children’s party!

Bring your children along for a day full of fun and God’s Word!

It is believed youth and young adults of today don’t know classic Gospel music, and maybe they’re not passionate about Gospel music, and on the flip coin, it is believed that the older generation and leaders ONLY know the classics. Well, let’s see who is right! Join us for a friendly competition as the youth go head to head with the adults to see who knows there Gospel Music!

Children's Church Bake Off

For children aged 4-13, bring your ingredients and equipment along to take part in a little friendly competition! We’ll be baking a selection of biscuits under the close eye of our church administrator Valrie Turgott,.

Winners on the day will receive bake off titles for the year!

List of equipment and ingredients to bring-

Equipment:

1) Bowl, 2) Rolling Pin, 3) Wooden Spoon For Mixing, 4) 2 Table Spoons, 5) Container with lid, 6) Baking Tray

You can make either gingerbread men or shortbread biscuits so please send your child with the relevant ingredients

Ingredients:

Gingerbread: Plain flour, bicarbonate soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, butter, light brown sugar, eggs, golden syrup

Shortbread:

Flower, Caster sugar, butter

Cupcakes (older children only):

Ingredients

For the cupcake mixture

120g butter, softened

120g caster sugar

2 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

120g self-raising flour

For the buttercream icing

140g butter, softened

275g icing sugar

1-2 tbsp milk

A few drops of food colouring (optional)
